About Barker Rockford Company, Rockford, IL

In July of 1956 Barker Rockford Company was born. Pierce Barker Jr. started the company designing and building hydraulic power units. Four times the business has outgrown its space and in1968 moved to its present location on Airport Drive in Rockford, Illinois. A solid staff of application support people built the company and  Pierce Barker III is now General Manager along with other valued employees make up the network which ties Hydraulic, Pneumatic Systems, IPS and HECO Divisions all into Barker Rockford Company.

Fluid Power Distribution Division was formed in 1971 focused on Parker Fluid Power equipment. This specially trained group focuses on the application of pneumatic and hydraulic fluid power and motion control systems. For all your needs in the Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems our group is available and ready to help. 24 hour emergency service is available upon request.

IPS (Industrial Profile Systems) This group designs and builds small automation machines using Parker IPS aluminum extrusion. IPS extrusion can be used for a wide variety of application including work benches, machine bases and guarding systems. The applications are only limited by your imagination!

Systems Division assembles hydraulic power units for many different industries, including paper making, machine tools, automotive and snack foods. Barker Rockford Co. is recognized for its technical support and knowledge in the industry. Our Systems Division continues to grow in technical applications to help with any custom design needs that may arise. The company has strong application knowledge to support a wide variety of customer’s needs.

HECO Division is internationally recognized for fluid power test equipment with applications as far away as China. HECO assists their customers with equipment for performance testing of their own products. These can be simple “Islands of automation” to full computer controlled test equipment with production network communications.
